Wild, loose, and impossible to pin down, Free Joel feels most at home in a crowded room ready to move. Noah Martin (vocals), Jillian Burton (bass), Kyle Krawczyk (drums), and Reid Webber (guitar) channel the raw swagger of the bands they grew up on, inspired by the likes of Iggy Pop, Cage the Elephant, and Queens of the Stone Age. Rooted in blues-rock, the four-piece’s sound has since evolved into a fast, punk-edged force built for dancing.

Originally formed in Indiana, the band began building their reputation as a live band in 2022. Now based in Chicago, Free Joel is putting down roots in a city with a long rock ’n’ roll history. In 2026, the band made its official Lollapalooza debut on the Tito’s Stage as part of the Chicago Made Showcase, tearing through two new songs, “Restless” and “Same Ol’ Song,” showcasing the raw, guitar-driven sound that has come to define Free Joel.
